What is a data warehouse?

A data warehouse is a large collection of business data used to help an organization make decisions. It stores transactional data, transforms data for analytical purposes, and is optimized for aggregation and retrieval of large data sets. Unlike a data lake, a data warehouse stores data in a structured way readily available for reporting & data analysis.
