Temporary token

Woman reading through the embedded analytics glossary

What is a temporary token?

A temporary token is a protocol which allows users to verify their identity, and in return receive a unique access token. As the name suggests, a temporary token is short-term and security credentials are not stored with the user but are dynamically generated and provided to the user when requested. A SSO token is often more preferred for security reasons.
